I was thinking today about how there are some blog posts I've written that have gotten buried. They have been funny, informative, inspirational or whatever. Perhaps it was my own desire to read the brilliance that has poured forth from my brain, or perhaps I was just reminiscing. Either way, I wanted to put together an all time 'best of' blog post page.
These are some of my very favorites, Enjoy.
Best Transportation Adventure
Best Self Observation
Best Zombie vs Vampire war
Best Dirty Post
Best Rant
Best 'Out of the Office'
Best Secret

The Spaceplague is gone, Unicorns are next.
When you buy one of these awesome books (with 7 Five-Star REVIEWS!), not only will a Unicorn show up in your backyard, but the goose that lays the golden egg will sit in your living room, and a leprechaun with his rainbows and pot of gold will end up on your porch.
I know what you are thinking...
"Great, now I'll have to pick up Horse Shit,
Golden eggs aren't going to feed my family and now I'm hallucinating about small green men."
Wait... no...
That's not what I meant...
What I meant to say was that I have defeated the Spaceplague, educated myself on the next revolution, and am ready for Unicorns, rainbows and perhaps a little saucy, sexy inspiration and music to finish the books I have been working on.
yep... this'll do.

It's hard to feel sexy when your sick.
I've been down for a few days with a cold the Plague. Mistakenly thinking I could get some writing done.
But...
alas....
It's hard to feel sexy when you are sick.
Meaning....
I have two books which are thiiiiiiiis close to being done, but without the uber saucy sexiness that is my usual, it sits.
In the meantime, please check out the saucy-ness that is currently available:
Available on Kindle
and
Nook.

Painting.
"Paint me a picture" he said
"But, I have no canvas, I have no brush and the closest I have ever gotten to painting a picture was with finger-paints when I was eight."
"Then paint with your words, tell me a story. And not something ridiculous like flying broomsticks or glittering vampires but something real. Something deep. Paint the song of your soul that I can't help but sing along to."
... and this was how it all started.

Not apologizing, I love money and sex.
Money and sex, not money FOR sex (I'm not that kind of girl).
Two things I Love more than anything. Although...
I love to talk about money. Who doesn't? I dream of ways to make more, squeeze more out of what I have, how I can help you make more, what the best way is to invest, or save, or horde or count or or or or....
I'm a financial geek. (The US Financial crisis is a wet dream for me... someone should really pay me to talk about this shit on TV! (hint hint))
and speaking of sex...
The boy comes back today.
YAY!

The boy is gone, and I wear his clothes.
I have this special friend.
Not sure what to call him yet....
On occasion I call him my 'Manstress". It is like Mistress only for a man. But that doesn't really fit in all circumstances.
(lookie... our feet together - cute!)
The term Boyfriend makes me cringe. I hate it and refuse to call him this (I'm not 12).
Man-Friend makes me think of my grandpa - not that I call my grandpa my 'Man Friend' (sicko's), but that he calls his girlfriend his "Lady Friend", so the opposite would be Man-Friend?
So, until I can think of something more entertaining to refer to him as, I call him. "THE BOY"
I like The Boy. He is gone for a few days, and asked me to 'kitty-sit'. I am going to assume he means to feed and pet his adorable cat, and not do some weird thing with my girl parts while he is gone.
Look, his cat is adorable. (and plays computer games!)
Said kitty also likes to snuggle with my Teddy Bear (don't judge - every girl has one.)
While the boy is gone, and while I get to feed said cute kitty and sleep in his super-deluxe-california-king-sized-bed-o-bliss, I do one special secret thing. Shhhh
I like to wear his clothes when he is gone. Especially at night. They smell like him, and it is almost like snuggling up and getting a hug from him even when he isn't there. And, he is the best hugger in the world (is hugger a word? It is now.).
I like him.
But, much to the chagrin of my mom, I'm not going to marry him nor have his children. I'm just going to use him for sex (great sex), travel with him, snuggle him, laugh with him, walk and hold hands with him and secretly wear his clothes when he isn't around.

Date Night!
Last night,
I had a date.
I will first preface by saying, I love dates.
I love the ritual of getting ready (shaving, picking out what to wear, doing the hair, make-up, jewelry, jacket, shoes, etc), the anticipation of the events (where we are going to meet, what we are going to do, where we are going to go, what we are going to eat, drink, etc). But, my favorite moment of date night is the moment where you actually see your date for the first time that night, and they see you.
All sparkly eyed.
Both excited to be together, just for the night.
Last night was date night.
and, quite frankly, I looked awesome. He was drooling.
It was great.
We went to a First Thursday Art Walk/Gallery opening thing. Although I am not sure he looked at much art, he was staring at me all night. Then walked, held hands, sushi... nom nom nom nom.
More walking, more holding hands.
Then the kiss.
Oh... the kiss. On the street, in front of everyone. He swooped me up in his arms, one strong and supportive around my lower back, and the other gently cradling my head and neck. Looking me straight in the eyes, he pressed his lips to mine.
Sweet.
Intoxicating.
Fireworks.
*Leeee siiiiiigh*
The rest of the night was just pure magic.

Reasons why I believe in Sex more than God.
*Sex doesn't make you choose.
*Sex is a great stress reducer.
*I see God when I have an orgasm, not the other way around.
*You don't need faith to enjoy sex.
*I have yet to meet anyone who screams 'SEX SEX SEX' while praying.
*I have yet to see one war fought over what type of sex is better.
*Sex doesn't care if you are gay, straight, trans, rainbow or skittle flavored.
So there you go.

Heart attack city

Well...
I did it.
Maybe not my best work, but I did it anyway.
They say the first time is always the most painful, the most scary, is never the best and is perhaps the hardest.
So, I wanted to get it out of the way quickly.
And I did.
Today. After months of torment and numerous cups of coffee, I did it.
I published something.
It is an erotic (very) short story. Only about 10 pages.
But, you can purchase it on your kindle once it is approved (which should be in the next couple days).
For only $.99
Now... I'm going to go freak out a bit, and decide wether or not to tell my mom.

De Milo and the Centar

There has been an ongoing love affair for the last 31 years. A galloping half stallion, half man aimed cupids bow and hit Venus De Milo right in the ass.
They have been attached at the hip ever since. Adventured together, traveled together, experienced together, loved together, fought together and made my life completely and totally... interesting.
Long story short.... my planet Venus lives in the house of Sagittarius. Which for some reason actually makes me feel less guilty about not having a single relationship that has lasted more than two years. But oh what crazy, fun, amazing, intense and unbelievable times those have been. Not without challenges for sure. Keeping my attention for longer than that of a gnat is quite a feat for those who are daring, adventurous or perhaps who just like a good challenge.
Perhaps it could explain my affinity for 'crushing'. Oh how I love a good crush... until another one comes along, then another one, and another one... ooooh shiney!
Sagittarius is all about travel, baby. Fiery, spirited, freedom-loving travel. You want the key to my heart... Light something on fire, spirit me away to a new or different location, and let me soar free. Then, I will melt into a puddle of delicate soft girlishness, look at you adoringly, and relish in the strength of your own unabashed abandonment.

Love and Death
I've been spending my spare time going through my things. Throwing out the old, giving away the still usable and inventorying all the stuff I want to sell... and still knowing that I will eventually have to get rid of all of it. (see here for why)
Love:
I love my stuff. Not in the creepy hoarder way, but more in the I love the memories I have accumulated with my stuff kind of way. I look at a picture on the wall and remember a moment I shared with someone special. I look at my favorite meditation chair and cringe remembering waking up one morning to find my best friend, naked, sitting on my chair, working on the computer... it is a visual memory that is seared into my brain.
I reminisce about the shoes that I wore with that outfit to that great event, the sweatshirt that is six sizes to large for me that I stole (from a now ex) boyfriend, on and on. Piece by piece. Memories being given away, donated and sold to the highest bidder....
Memories fading to dust. Which then (logically) makes me think of death. Little deaths replayed over and over again as my beloved reminders (stuff) walks out the door.
Death is difficult at its best, glorious at it's worst. And here, at this moment...
it is both.

It sure doesn't suck to be me.

It has been a long time since I have posted up a blog, and it's not for lack of adventure. But sometimes I don't always want to share my private adventures with the innumerable people out in inter-webs land, Some rendezvous or super-hero assignments are... shall we say, not blog-appropriate.
But what I did want to share is that yes... it sure doesn't suck to be me.
I have learned in the past two weeks that my infinite happiness is born from a 3am restless middle-of-the-night text message and a warning. Followed by, the most amazing birthday celebrations, hiking next to waterfalls, re-charging of girl batteries (thanks Mr. T and Mr. Rowe), more birthdays, super-hero costume parties, Fire, player piano's, ice-cream, carnival rides, fireworks, sunshine, and playing War in a moving vehicle.
My life doesn't suck. And although timing isn't always perfect, I realized that I can move mountains to make something happen.
and I like moving mountains... and making things happen, it makes me infinitely happy.
What mountain can I move for you?

My first commitment
I am a self-confessed commitment-phobe.... and... I made a huge commitment today, and am still in awe and the profound effect it is having.
I put a bumpersticker on my car.
Yes, yes... now I know that probably doesn't seem like much to you, but for me... this is huge. My car is now forever adorned with my glittery goodness, slimed with sticky shineyness, marked as mine forever.
Now this commitment to my bumper accessorizing did not come lightly. I have owned this sticker for about three years. Year #1 - this sticker sat on my desk at work, next to my computer and I looked at it every day. Everyday when I would get overwhelmed it would just sit there, smiling at me.
Year #2 - Growing on me a little (and my job was uh... changing...) I took this small piece of purple pretti-ficiation and affixed it to my refridgerator.
Year #3 - The final journey before committing... I placed this delicate muse so carefully next to the gear shift in my car. There it has teased, taunted and inspired me.
And today... I took the plunge.
It is attached.
I almost feel like my car got it's very first tattoo...

The Beautiful Surrender

Surrender is a beautiful movement in which you gracefully, willingly, languidly fall, only to find midway that you have been gathered into some unimaginable embrace. Surrender is letting go, whether or not you believe the embrace will occur. It's trust to the hundredth power - not sticking to your idea of the outcome, but letting go in the faith that even the absence of an outcome will be the perfect solution.
Surrender is diaphanous and fluid. It's the giving up of rigidity of every kind: rigidities of the mind that design outcomes to occur in very specific ways; rigidities of the body that refuse to receive the touch that could heal, the passion that could transform; rigidities of the soul that congeal and congest the spirit, causing it to imagine it has a life apart from the body and mind.
Surrender is meltdown of every rigidity we've ever been committed to, the conscious and unconscious dismantling of how we though things should be, to make way for the way things will, in fact, occur. It's a kind of being surprised by joy, of happily swimming into greater consciousness that's always operating on our behalf. Just as a child, learning to swim, discovers, amazed, that the water does hold him up, so surrender buoys us up, supports us for the fulfillment of our destinies.
Surrender requires purity of intention. In the absolute freedom it grants in response to our letting go, it requires an absolute commitment of holding onto nothing. Whatever you thought you had - the idea, the expectation, the plan, the hope of how things should be - you must let go of it fully. Surrender is stepping away from the certainty of your categories into the no-man's-land of all possibilities.
And it is in surrendering, in letting go into the void - into the mysterious, unnamed, mystical, formless future, into the arms that are invisible - that we become finally ready to receive it all. Surrender is the giving of your all to the All, the waiting with an absolute absence of expectation for the totally perfect thing to occur. <3

Loving my friends, and friending my lovers

It's a new idea.
Loving the people around you so much, that no matter what - you know the friendship will survive. They are closer than blood. The folks who would never turn their back on you, the ones who would fight for you until their very last breath.
Those people are the ones I am proud to have in my life.
